Alright listen I know I literally just posted yesterday and two days in a row is a lot for me, but today was just one of those “wow I’m really grateful for my friends and that we live in a city that people travel from all over the world to come and see” days.

Winter holiday part two.

So turns out Budapest is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen??? Special shoutout to a road trip to Bratislava and Vienna, our glutes of steel from an endless amount of stairs (why is Budapest so hilly?) and Chef Kelcey for cooking us dinner every night.

Winter holiday part one.

This year’s solo trip: Belfast and Dublin. The past couple of years I’ve gone away by myself for a few days, and I genuinely look forward to it every single time. I love love love people, but there is something so sweet and kind of sacred about getting away and exploring new places without the typical distractions of everyday life (aka me yapping all day to whoever will listen 🤭)

What God was speaking: don’t allow the search for answers overtake the seeking of His heart. Of course, ask Him questions, look for wisdom and clarity. But to be honest, that usually comes as a byproduct of being near to Him anyway. So might as well just enter His presence for worship’s sake and allow Him to put all the other pieces together.

[ Also I think I’ve decided that Celtic-inspired folk music is my favourite genre (even if I just made that term up) and I will not be taking any further questions at this time thank you. ]

Christmas, New Year’s, and all those strange, time-warp days surrounding them.

Last year was “Enjoy More 2024”™️. But to be honest,
I don’t think that fully clicked until sometime in December. Better late than never, I guess? Essentially, there comes a moment where you have to really, truly understand that God is God and you definitely are not. And in the letting go of control is when I actually realised that despite circumstances, I can find enjoyment in every day because I don’t have to worry about “fixing” anything. I just have to trust the One who already has a plan (and it’s infinitely better than mine).

Here’s to resting in God and enjoying more in 2025, too. 🥂🖤
